Candle is a privacy friendly smart home demonstrator. Its purpose is to show a different way forward for smart homes. A more privacy friendly smart home is not just possible, it's the future. We hope companies that build smart products will copy what we're doing here.‌

At the same time this 'demonstrator' has been designed to be easy to build by anyone. An ethical smart home is a home where you have control over the code that it runs.

The project will be launched officially in October 2019.
